Leading with Trust

Leading With Trust, Spring, TX

Confirmed
September 9–10, 2026·Spring·Host: Spring Fire Department

About this training

A two-day professional development program for women in public safety and public service.

The program covers the communication, leadership, and career skills that determine whether women thrive in supervisory roles, perform under public scrutiny, and stay in the profession long enough to make a lasting impact. It was developed with women's professional experiences at the core, and it welcomes mixed-gender attendance — male colleagues gain the same practical skills alongside a clearer understanding of how to support stronger teams.

What participants will be able to do by the end

  • Apply the Four Threads of Trust to everyday professional situations
  • Communicate with confidence and clarity — in meetings, with supervisors, with the public, and under pressure
  • Handle public scrutiny, difficult conversations and have confidence in any situation with greater message discipline
  • Navigate workplace conflict and propose solutions that get organizational buy-in
  • Build the relationships — mentors, sponsors, allies — that determine whether careers progress
  • Develop sustainable practices for resilience and career longevity
  • Leave with a personal action plan and built-in accountability for the 90 days that follow

How the two days are structured

Day One — Finding Your Voice. Identity, communication, and public scrutiny, anchored in the Clarity and Courage threads.

Day Two — Building Your Path. Conflict, visibility, networks, and resilience, anchored in the Consistency and Care threads.

Each day combines short instructional segments with facilitated discussion, exercises, and hands-on practice. The program is delivered by a minimum of two instructors. Full module breakdown is provided to confirmed registrants ahead of the program.

What's included

  • Course workbook and Four Threads self-assessment
  • Action plan template
  • Certificate of completion
  • 60-day virtual cohort reconnection session
